Sunday 7th August, 12-4pm:
Osmington Parish Fete is returning to the Village Hall for the first time since 2019.
Organised by local group Phoenix Fundraisers, it’s all you would expect from a traditional summer fete, with entertainment and attractions for the whole family.
There will be live music, a fun dog show with lots of categories and classes, a performance from Morris group Festus Derriman, and internationally renowned illusionist Kaleb Zebadi will be wowing visitors with his magic.
As well as lots of traditional games and stalls there’ll be plenty to eat and drink, with a barbecue (including veggie options), Ploughman’s platters, a beer tent run by Team Smugglers, and traditional cream teas with cream provided by Osmington based Craig’s Dairy.
All of the money raised will be split between St Osmund’s Church, Osmington Village Hall, and the Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia Support Group, as a child in the village has the condition.
Eileen Bramley, Chair of Phoenix Fundraisers, says, “It’s so good to have the Osmington Parish Fete back after such a long time. I particularly look forward to the Family Fun Dog Show, which is always a highlight and very entertaining, and also the famous Osmington Egg Toss, which can get a bit messy! Not only are we hoping lots of locals join us, but we know that some regular holidaymakers have even booked their trip to coincide with the event in the past!”
The event is free to enter, and there is also free parking.
